Born in 1965 - France
Born in 1965 in France, Chris von Steiner (aka Christophe Austruy) lives and works in Brussels.
A digital artist, graphic designer and writer, he worked at first for several years in the advertising field in Paris.
His digital art is a proof of his twisted imagination where he uses characters from his childhood, music, movies or television that he randomly combines with his fantasies his dreams and his desires, creating a kaleidoscopic world which is sexy and disturbing, familiar and strange at the same time.
In 2012, he moved away from his graphic pop art and from his provocative colored digital painting and decided to turn to a more subtle style and use a more impressionist and romantic color palette. He started concentrating mostly on the game of light and in pictorial environments portraying his personal emotional world.
Since 2010 his work has been exhibited in Europe in Paris, London, Berlin, Rome, Brussels, Amsterdam and Oslo and in the United States in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
