Presentation
In Antoine Schneck's photos, there is a dimension which questions: those things we see appear to be so present that one forgets the screen that the images places in front and what it wishes to represent. Antoine Schneck is a perspective theorist, his main aim is to give back the eye its freedom to read as he doesn't want it to get influenced in any way.
He trained at Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière, went around the world looking for the "most genuine" portraits. His work isn't restricted to just portraits, he captures objects, sometimes very common ones and magnifies them through his technique.
His work was displayed at the basilica in Saint Denis in 2011, at the peak of Arc de Triomphe from 2014 until 2018, in Carmel de Tarbes in 2015 among many more.
His photos are part of a permanent collection at the Galerie Berthet-Aittouarès in Paris.
