Anaka Plasticienne

Anaka was born in 1965 in Paris. She currently lives in Haute Savoie.

Her art is inseparable from writting. In fact, Anaka Plasticienne has the peculiarity of doing her art on Plexiglass and of writing on what she initially painted. Resulting in a dialogue between calligraphy and image, and the search for meaning. With her left hand, she traces the words from right to left, a technique also called Mirror Writing. Under sucessive layers sometimes scratched, sometimes underlined, lies the traces of the unspeakable, an invisible sotry which is guessed by fragments. Among her favorite subjects we can site protraits or representations of animals.

Anaka exhibits her work since 2001. She also does creative workshops in schools and works with adults in her workshop in Servoz, and in a professional setting, sharing her original teaching of techniques of creativity development. Since several years, the artist does performances where she makes the demonstration of her art, mirror writting, on music.
