Born in 1994 - France
Marie Hazard is a French artist born in 1994 who lives and works in London.
She grew up in Paris and took evening classes at the School of Fine Arts, then studied in the workshops of Sevres in Paris and is actually doing a training in textile and design at the Central Saint Martins in London.
Fabrics, thread and weaving are the main topic of her artistic research, she creates unusual shapes while developing an exploration of color. When she is not working with fabrics, she uses pastels or China ink to continue studying the different shades that she can use for her weaving, prints or her works on wood.
Even without using embroidery, she draws curves, knots, making the lines of color intertwine. She uses as well tarlatan, like a filter, through which she pours plaster to create delicate porcelains.
Her work has been exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions in Paris, London, notably at the Central Saint Martins in 2015.
