Born in 1994 - France
She grew up in Paris where she took evening classes at the graduate school of fine arts. She then studied at the Atelier de Sèvres in Paris. Currently she is taking textile design at Central Saint Martins in London.
She develops her approach to materials and textiles through painting with oil sticks. This enables her to create unexpected forms whilst carrying out intense research into colour, which then facilitates her choice of tints for the strings she uses in her weaving, prints, woodwork and knits. For each work she carries out a photographic project in order to understand the impressions of places that inspire her and discover new materials that she can introduce in her textile creations, like plastic, wood, wool, paper… She is profoundly interested by the sensations that each person is able to perceive. In this way she intends to create tactile works, often focused on contrast: between delicate and visceral, transparent and opaque, thin and thick, heavy and fragile...
Each work is thus an unexpected creation in its integration of these new substances. For her canvases she choses the cottons that she sows into each other, sometimes mixing them equally. She invents her new repertoire of materials, sometimes incorporating within them nuances and tones in oil or integrating fragments that she has weaved.
