Born in 1961 - France
Her nickname ARRO, which is the contraction of her name, Arlette Rogue is a French artist born in Calvados, Normandy.
From her childhood, she studied drawing at the Ecole Universelle of Paris to eventually become a portraitist using oil and acrylics, she is passionate about painting and playing piano. Her technique is a combination of figurativism, surrealism and abstraction.
During a long period of her artistic career, Arlette Rogue represented mostly celebrities from the cinema or the music industry, following a list of orders, she then started portraying mostly still life and landscapes. Nowadays, she creates a lot more personal pieces with women as the main subject, which she depicts in a mystical way, exploiting all the subtleties of the shapes and volumes of the female body in a surreal and alternating combination between abtraction and figuration.
She was appointed president of "La Palette de Gaillard" from 2005 to 2006 and was awarded four times at the competition in Ville La Grand in Haute Savoie.
