Jean-Diego Membrive

JEAN DIEGO: Portrait of a portraitist.

Born in 1960, Jean Diego MEMBRIVE (artist's name JEAN DIEGO), is influenced by his Spanish origins and the theater, that he had practiced as an actor and as a set designer and decorator.
As an illustrator, in 1994 he invents the character of Pico Falso who accompanies him throughout his artistic and decorative course.
He is now the subject of a Snakes and ladders edition and most recently of a card game.
At the moment, JEAN DIEGO focuses on portraits made of paper cut and recomposed of vibrant colours where characters merge among the motives of the popular images of Snakes and ladders and playing cards.
