Lionel Saliou is a visual artist, draftsman and printmaker. He studied communication, economics and management but had the feeling of not doing what he really liked. He then became community worker (which he was for ten years) and joined parallel to this job, the School of Visual Arts of Garges-Les-Gonesses where he specialized in drawing and intaglio.
Just like the children, he plays, and his artistic work comes from this game. He addresses subjects for adults, but these are never conceptualized. Women play an important role in his work and he enjoys representing her in all her voluptuousness and in all her curves. He is also passionate about birds, he calls them "funny sparrows".
He has exhibited his work in France since 1999, and his work is permanently exhibited at the Gallery G'M.
Depuis 1999 participe à de nombreuses expositions de gravure et dessins en France.
