Alexis Armion is a French artist, born in Lyon in 1981. He obtained his visual communication diploma at the Ecole d'art visuel Presqu'île in Lyon.
He became passionate about drawing at an early age and this technique become his favorite medium for his artistic production. During his training, he discovered advertising, manipulating images and photos and worked in advertising agencies after graduating. He made posters, logos, catalogs for a while before distancing himself from the world of visual marketing and specialized in composing techniques, many digital methods which combine several image sources.
Through manipulating his photos, he makes up imaginary worlds where improbable images and surrealistic animals are portrayed with precision in thin lead black ink, he also colors some of his sketches through digital creative tools.
Therefore, Alexis Armion is known for his unique and original paintings, he achieves them through his know-how, techniques like drawing photography, illustration with a digital retouch, combining his artistic research with music, as he is a pianist composer.
