Presentation

Charlotte Lachapelle was born in 1955 in the Lot, where she spent a happy childhood, surrounded by the beauty of the landscapes.
A self-taught painter, she settled in the Paris region and very soon felt the need to transcribe her childhood memories on a canvas, in order to bring the viewer into the magical world of childhood.

Her paintings are impregnated with gentleness, poetry and dreams. Charlotte Lachapelle painted her childhood, that unique period of life that innocence and joy illuminate with colors. The landscapes are bucolic, happiness is pure there.
The simplification that Charlotte Lachapelle uses in her painting is the product of her great technical skills, in the harmony of colors and in the treatment of light.

Charlotte Lachapelle's paintings are exhibited in several collections of Naïve Art. She created with other artist, the international group of Modern Primitives known as "Naive".
