As a humanistic artist, my universality is expressed via what has always been in the heart of my creation: perception and emotion.
As I like a smooth stream flow, I naturally opted for water-based painting techniques.
My expression is free and intuitive. I even omit the conceptualisation phase most of the time; it is a kind of pictorial release. Each of my artworks represents the spacetime of life where fluidity can be observed: a starting point, a journey and a destination, the aim being to embody a moment.
So during the creation process, the subject takes shape at the discretion of a spontaneous and eloquent gesture.
The paper, whether it is diluted or contoured, aerial or visceral, plays a key role because it reveals the desired effect of the final rendering.
Revelations or Dissolutions: two approaches guide the arrangement and the final result.
During this creation process, the subject reveals itself and sometimes requires an explicit and recognizable representation. Here it reaches a figuration almost illustrative and narrative facilitating interpretation.
Otherwise, it dissolves in color and the pictorial shape becomes the essence of the canvas. It reaches an almost abstract expression by offering a subjective reading. The purpose in both cases being the extraction of the highlights: states of being, snapshots, and sensations.
In short, I offer a timeless journey between figuration and abstraction, inviting the viewer’s imagination to explore his own equation in a world in perpetual motion.
