Coderch and Malavia refers to a common project involving two Spanish sculptors, Joan Coderch and Javier Malavia. The first one is born in 1959 and studied at the Fine Arts School in Barcelona. In 2015, they got involved in an artistic project together. Since then, the two artists work and live in Valencia.
Their figurative sculptures have the same theme, a favorite with both the artists, mainly theater and bull-fighting, mythology. Man, life are the main element of their creation. As a consequence of this choice, they give prominence to movement, which makes their sculptures particularly expressive.
