Olivier Broise and Kano Okuuchi are two artists who graduated from Beaux Arts, Angouleme. They decided to combine their skills and make up a Franco-Japanese duo, who have a passion for American Pop culture from the years 1950-1970.

The two artists are inspired by the "glorious thirty" of USA. Their creations are a lot like the poster artist Jacques Villeglé and the American Roy Lichtenstein.

Olivier Broise and Kano Okuuchi create compositions where the images are torn, fragmented, re-stuck, overlapped, painted...Iconic faces, key comic figures and cinema stars are put in the spotlight on their paintings, which meet the artistic and pictorial codes of the Pop culture. Publicity slogans, magazine pages, onomatopoeia and comic book soliloquy are part of their colorful universe, which combine graphic design, drawing, collage and painting and offers spectators several angles of analysis.

Works of this duo highlights humor, critical sense and dynamism and has a modern approach to the Pop culture.
