Born in 1987 - France
Lionel Arnaudie is a young French photographer born in 1987.
Ever since he was a child he has had a passion for pictorial arts. He graduated from the ETPA photography school with honours in 2011.
“Heroes” (2012), his first series of photographs, was inspired by Ancient Greece demigods. Half- gods half-humans, both strong and vulnerable, heroes embody the main two sides of the artist's conception of masculinity.
In his last series, “Bronze”, completed in 2013, Lionel Arnaudie decided to focus on texture. It was inspired by bronze busts and their aesthetic qualities – a slightly grainy texture and a warm tone, close to sepia.
The photographer intended to convey the feeling of power and grandness that radiates from these busts, and to make them look like they are alive.
Apart from these personal projects, he works with fashion agencies and takes photographic portraits.
He lives and works in Paris.
