As a determined archaeologist, Johansen has been digging and searching for as many fragments as she could find in order to give meaning to her research and to try to make the indefinable coherent.
Her steps seem to take her toward secluded places that shine from the inside without being able to make us blink our eyes though.
Behind her camera, her goal is to capture the moment in order to dissect it afterwards… and transform this way a reality that sometimes suffocates us.
The snapshot is her palette.
Through her approach, Johansen attempts to rewrite history, to change it by destructuring the image... she finds this was a new dimension, a precarious but alluring balance; the fragments, the torn pieaces, the hesitations, the fumbling can most certainly lead to sweet harmony.
