Originally from Garonne, Janine Vigué grew up in a family of farmers, where animals were a part of her childhood and today it's paint brushes. She studied German languages in Bordeaux, Janine lived in Landau, Germany before settling down in Paris. She studied drawing in Paris and in still life studios in Montreuil.

Initially, the artist addressed the pastel technique and turned towards oil painting, Indian ink and watercolors. Janine Vigué makes portraits of childish characters, filled with innocence and tenderness. Her universe sways between routine and dreams, figurative and fantasies, reality and feelings.

The artist did her first exhibition in Lot et Garonne and others in the Parisian region and Germany.
