Born in 1949 - France
A photographer with an exarcerbated sensibility, Jérôme Tisné was born on January 28, 1949 in Paris, where he still lives to this day. He started working as an studio assistant at Vogue and then started making commercials. Advertising, fashion, beauty......sharpened his acute sense of aesthetics.
The Northern Light became his cardinal reference. The artist made a "Tribute to the Elders" with a collection of portraits in his studio.
His images have a common denominatior a sharp exaltation and an intensified lyricism. He gives a main role to the shades of lights to sublimate the female body. Woman is depicted in his photographic room in gray white and black, influenced by German romantic aesthetics. About his images of low tides, writer Erik Orsena praises his kigdom of the foreshore " It is a shy kingdom, full of light as beautiful as fugitives". To celebrate this kingdom like it deserves, it requires respect and obtinacy. It takes an eye that is capable of marveling at the long expanses as well by the small ponds. We need to wait to be accepted by the shady reflection of people. In summary, we need a Jérôme Tisné, who belongs to a rare species". His landscapes depict the infinite. He represents our finitude and shelters it in dreams.
Jérôme Tisne lives his life poetically and incultates to us,during the time of contemplation, to take a dazzled and amazed look at reality.
He has done numerous advertising campaigns for: Princess Tam Tam, Dior, Klorane, Sony, Crédit Agricole finance, L'or, Yves Rocher, Renault, Fiat, BNP..... Jérôme Tisne worked with the Jardin des Modes and 100 Idées and creates a collection of photographs of fashion and beauty (Figaro Madame, Dépeche Mode, Marie-France, Bida, Elle, Marie-Claire..... he regularly exhibits his photographs in a gallery in Paris since 2005.
