Presentation
Christian Doulet is a French painter and sculptor born in 1963. Self-taught, he is passionate since a young age for artistic creation, painting and drawing. He comes from a familly of artists whose artistic tradition goes back to Napoleon I. One of his ancestors is exposed at the Château de Versailles.
He is known for redoing famous paintings of the great masters such as Da Vinci, David, Vermeer, Velasquez, Modigliani, Dali, Delacroix Courbet and Ingres by adding colors, animals and an original treatment of the body, based on the application of gold leaves which he then treats with glaze to give the impression of stained glass. He works as well on "graphic digressions" made by him which he transcribes on his paintings as well as on stones and old furniture.
His pieces are exhibited in France and abroad (Vietnam, New York, Chicago, Saint-Pétersbourg, Shanghai, Moscow, Monaco, Tel Aviv)
