Dominique Guillemard, was born in 1949 and died in 2010, he is a French painter. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of his hometown, Angers.

In his figurative paintings, the artist develops a unique artistic universe. faceless personages dressed in a costume are placed on luxurious settings, hotel lounges, casinos... Dominique Guillermand also likes painting musicians in the middle of their presentations, he manages to accurately transcribe the frenzy and the trance that motivate them.

The artist started to exhibit his work in 1980. During the 90s, his fame went beyond the borders of France: Dominique Guillermard exhibits his work regularly in the United States, Japan, Brazil, and New Zealand. In parallel, he did the sets for the show "Le Grand Echiquier" by Jacques Chancel, and recently, his compositions have illustrated posters for concerts of Rostropovitch and Issac Stern, as well for the Carnegie-Hall programs in New York.
