Riccardo Simonutti

Born in 1973 - France

Riccardo Simonutti is an Italian artist born in 1973. He grew up in La Hague, France. He was Jean Yves Duperron's student for two years.

The artist works with multiple supports, and uses materials such as oil as well as concrete or pigments. His latests works have been using photography as a base. His paintings criticize our society that favors information rather than knowledge.

On a daily basis, we come into contact with a huge amount of information, through various media. They can be manipulative, that is why one has to be careful and especially curious. That is why the artist has very commercial subjects that he treats with force and brutality.
