Presentation

ARM is a French sculptor, painter, engraver and ceramist. She studied literature and then decided to work with her father, art editor Georges Visat. The latter introduced her to numerous artists with whom she discovered different techniques such as engraving, etching and printmaking. Among her teachers were artists like Paul Ansoult and Jacques Combet. ARM then worked for Paul Wunderlich and Bert Johnny Nilsson. The artist also tried pottery and ceramics. Very soon, she became passionate about these two activities, which allowed her to work with matter and clay in calm and serenity.
Once retired, her father moved to the Southwest, where she joined him soon afterwards.

ARM had the big chance of growing up in a milieu of great surrealist painters such as Max Ernts, Bellmer, Matta, Man Ray and Dorothea Tanning. She also became friends with painter Matta, who advised her a lot. The artistic milieu in which she grew up influenced her style without a doubt.

Until the death of her father, ARM could not imagine an artistic production without him. She drew her inspiration from their fusional relationship. Together, they sculpted, engraved, painted, framed... When he died, ARM abandoned all artistic activity. It was until some years later, that she felt the need to create again.
The subjects that she addresses are numerous: the cosmos, earth, the human, the ocean, emotions... Her work is a permanent questioning of the infinite.
