Gérald Vatrin is a French glassmaker. Born in Nancy, he started his training with a CAP (Certificate of Professional Competence) and then a BTS (Higher Technician Certificate) in model design at the St Vincent de Paul School in Algrange. Afterwards, he joined the School of Image in Epinal, where he obtained a degree in plastic arts in 1995. Finally, the artist specialized as a glassmaker during two years.
Glass is Gérald Vatrin's main mean of expression. He structures it with two pigments, transparences and engravings. A mixture of two cultures, his pieces are aesthetic and emotional at the same time.
Gérald Vatrin exhibits his work in France as well as abroad, particularly in Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United States.
