Born in 1964 in Tbilisi, Gela Patiachvili is a Georgian painter.

He grew up in a family where art and culture occupied an important place. Guela Patiachvili learned to draw and paint at the age of five. Even when he studied at Ecole Polytechnique, he never gave up art. Guela Patiachvili began a career in theater and stage decor. After working in cinema sets, he turned towards cartoons.

Late 1980's, Gela Patiachvili asserted his position in the avant-garde movement of Perestroïka, and this led him to exhibit at the Museum of Moscow in March and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. 2000 onwards, a new market was at his disposal and he presented his creations in several galleries in New York.

Guela Patiachvili does very colorful figurative and scenic work.
