Nicole Wendel is a German artist born in 1975. She lives and studied in Berlin.
She obtained a MA (Master of Fine Art) at the Beaux-Arts University in Berlin in 2007.
Nicole Wendel's art depicts a thoughtful universe made of peaceful immensities, universal and timeless images that have recourse to symbolism and a great diversity of mediums. The human figure is at the center of her artwork, around which gravitates the rest of the forms.
Drawing is at the base of Nicole Wendel's artistic practice, which will then become objects, performances, films and photographs. The artist does not limit herself to one way of expression but looks for the best medium to express the world that surrounds her.
Her artworks have recently been exhibited at the Goethe Institute of Paris (2015), at the Graphem Gallery in Paris (2015), at Drawing Now (2015), at the Semjon Contemporary S/C Gallery in Berlin (2014), at the Pavillion am Milchhof in Berlin (2014) or even at the Weisser Elefant Gallery in Berlin (2013).
