Born in Idar-Oberstein in Germany, Tanja Selzer graduated from the Design Department at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She lives and works in Berlin since 2003.
Her paintings use different techniques that equally appear to be snapshots of moments or dreams. In her works of art, the artist explores the limits of voyeurism and the social consequences. Elements that seem incoherent are combined as narrative sequences; they are ordinary situations, but are constantly avoiding the causality and logic.
In 2016, Tanja Selzer participated to three important collective exhibitions. She presented "Rien ne va plus" at the Kunsthalle der Sparkassenstiftung gallery, "Séance" at the Janine Bean gallery and "Blanke Teile" at the Schaufenster gallery.
