Sebastian Wickeroth is a German artist that was born in 1977. He currently lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany. He studied at the Kunstakademie Münster, at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Geneva, and at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf.
Sebastian Wickeroth proposes a unique approach: he builds and partially destroys imposing sculptures. Some of his installations give the impression that the sculptures are going to fall down under the weight of the pressure, arranged in a room with other monoliths that also seem to fall from heaven.
By using intriguing colors and geometrical shapes, Sebastian Wickeroth manages the space with damaged forms that explore the beauty of rot and comments the artificial structures that have been built and invariably destroyed.
