Born in 1897 - Germany
Henry Ehlers was born in 1897 and died in 1988.
He became famous specially in Germany as advertising poster designer and art director in the textile industry, sometimes combining rigorous geometric shapes structured to absurdity. He has worked for companies such as BMW and Erdinger Weissbier. His works show an Art Deco influence sometimes mixed with almost dadaist messages.
His talent has cross frontiers: one of his many posters is part of the permanent collection of MoMA in New York.
