Mózes Incze

The artist was born in Barot, Transylvania. At the age of ten he already knew that he was going to be an artist. Between 1990 and 1994 studied mural painting at the Art Lyceum in Tirgu mures. In 2000 he graduated at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts as painter, where Gábor Nagy was his teacher. In 1997 he founded the popular Élesd Workshop in Transylvania with his friends.

In 1996 he got the Pannoncolor- and in 1997 the Székely Bertalan-award, in 2009 the HM-MMKI Mecenatura award was given to him, and he was awarded in the Autumn Salon in Hódmez?vásárhely. In 2010 he got the main prize of HM-MMKI Mecenatura and the Koller Award in 2011.

As a painter he deals with human existence and the figurative symbolism the most dominant on his works. The absolute precision of the body and character representation, the familiarity with the „anatomy” of flora, fauna, and landscape, or the plasticity and formational abundance of draperies makes his work unique.
