Ilona Léonard is a visual artist born in 1958 in Hungary.
After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts of the theater of Budapest, her first intention was to become an actress, Ilona Léonard turned towards sculpture and entered the Academy Willem de Kooning for visual Arts in Rotterdam.
She designed projects of urban art and created them in big scale. Progressively, Ilona Léonard got closer to architect Kas Oosterhuis and together they worked on the subject of the fusion of architecture and art.
Her sculptures became monumental and are supported by a form of intelligenc that generates behaviors in real time.
