Mária Pecsics is a photographer living in Budapest, Hungary. She photographs principally ladscapes that explore themes of the relationship between human and nature. Her artwork is documentary photography that based on different concept.
After finishing Secondary School of Visual Arts she graduated in 1998 and in 2003 at the Department of Photography and at the Teacher School of Hungarian University of Art and Crafts. Between 2007 and 2011 she worked on her doctorate thesis at the DLA school of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
Since 1998 she is a member of Association of Hungarian Photographers. In 2000 she founded a professional advertising photo studio and led it for six years. Since 2006 she works as a teacher. At present she working at Photography Department of Kaposvár University as assistant professor.
Her first solo exhibition title was Landscapes and it was shown in 2003. Her works exhibited in several solo and group shows at art galleries and venues like Zsófi Faur Gallery, Hungarian House of Photography, Hungarian Academy in Rome, Goldberg Studios München, Hungarian National Gallery.
She received József Pécsi Scholarship in 1998, 2007, 2008. In 2012 her artwork was granted by scholarship of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary.
