Bhajju Shyam was born in 1971 in India, in the community of Gond in Madhya Pradesh. He went to the Jangarh Kalaman College, where the teacher with the same name suicide in 2001. This school has as a goal to revive the art of the Indian community.

Bhajju Shyam spent over twenty years making works that fucused on the myths and legends of his tribe, which he wants to reveal to the public.
He has worked for Tara Books during the last ten years, illustrating several books, such as "the Night Life of Trees" or "Creation".
Bhajju Shyam produced several pieces inspired by his familly, his daily life and his community. He gets inspired as well by the relationship between man and the cosmos, and the origins of the plant and animal world.

Bhajju Shyam has received several awards for the books " The London Jungle Book", " The Night Life of Trees" and "That's How I See Things".
