Tali Amitai-Tabib

Born in 1953 - Israel

BIOGRAPHY

Tali Amitai-Tabib was born in 1953 in Kvutzat Kinneret (Israel). The work of Tali Amitai- Tabib, a real globe-trotter, is a sort of intimate diary.

Almost all her photography work deals with empty spaces. More than anything, emptiness expresses the presence of human beings. To the spectators who observe the images, she gives the possibility to choose which people they'd like to fill these spaces with: those who built them and used them in the past or alternatively those who will use them in the future. She is, therefore, photographing the full emptiness.

She never knows to which point her feelings will affect the image she produces. She uses the present and the absence of light to reveal those who are missing, to tell the story of their lives: the joy, the love, the sadness, the pain and the anger.
