Born in 1981 - Italy
Tommaso Santucci was born in 1981, he lives and works in Pise (Italy)
« Everything began by chance, I accidentally covered my desk of adhesive tape …»
And when the desk was covered, he took another one, or then a board, a box or a briefcase and he began again with his scotch tape and his « Bic »…. until the room would be covered with it. Since then, his technique and materials diversified, but the instinctive flow is still present and, ten years afterwards, in spite of notability, term « artwork» does not stop to surprise him. For him, those artworks always are «pieces of life».
By an interlacement of written and represented messages, he delivers to the public the incurable wound of the truth. He makes it with strong and recurrent pictures and emblematic expressions such as MOLTOMALE called to become cult. All of this is connected by a free style of drawing and a secret coding (encircled numbers, letters, words underlined or crossed out etc).
The public gives him a real gratitude. The international collectors are numerous and more and more interested by his work. By the way, in 2015, he received the first price of the public of Art Fair Bologna.
