Roberto Kusterle is a photographer, born in 1948 in Gorizia, Italy where he still lives and works.
His interest in photography developed during the late 80's, based on the research of a human representation, related with nature. The separations between reality, Man and animal combine and are turned into a cohabitation, transforming vital energy into aesthetic tension.
A dark and surrealist photographer, his monochromes are strange and marked with symbolism, mysterious and ambivalent universes, a familiar Lewis Caroll syndrome.
His work has been exhibited in Italy and Slovenia during many solo exhibitions. He received the prize for the best photoexhibition in Slovenia in 2006 during the Mesecfotografije in Ljubljana.
