BIOGRAPHY

Inese Marg?vi?a was born in Latvia. She lives and works in Riga. The artist works with materials such as clay and porcelain. She loves white for its lightness and its fragility. She likes to cover it with patters and symbols, using a glaze in all nuances of grey.

In her porcelain pieces, Inese Marg?vi?a represents mostly women, in dreamy attitudes and poses, with enigmatic faces, similar yet different, like masks that hide an intense inner life. A graduate of the Riga Arts Academy, she has numerous shows in her country.

Inese Marg?vi?a took part in group ans solo shows in PAris, in Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Egypt, Argetine... Her works are part of private collections, especially in the US. She took part in important symposiums in Latvia, Lituania, Germany, Turkey.
