S Moe Z is a painter from Burma, he was born in Myanmar in 1977. He graduated from the Fine Arts school in Yangon. He studied under the guidance of the teacher, U Saw Que de Naing.
An intense artist, his paintings are a reflection of the constant struggle between light and darkness. Shadows keep an eye on the Burmese people. Monks hold an important place in their lives. They incarnate this dual, which help the people free themselves from oppression. However, a ray of light in the form of in-built and unbeatable hope, is the true soul of this country.
S Moe Z regularly exhibits abroad, through collective exhibitions especially in New York (2007 Art from Myanmar, Group Show), Boston (2010 Myanmar Art & Culture Lecture), Toronto (2011, Eye on Burma Group Show, the East Gallery), Rangoon in Burma (New Nursery Art Show Group Show, 2001 ; Unity Art Show in 2002 ; The Breeze Group Show in 2004 ; Lokanat gallery in 2007), but also at Ngapali Beach (Cyan Bay Art gallery in 2011), to name a few.
