Marie Cecile Thijs was born in 1964.
She had been a lawyerfor 15 years before discovering her passion for the photography.
She stops working as a lawyer in order to become a portrait photographer.
Marie Cecile is very influenced by the special light of the Dutch "Golden Age". In her photographs, she constantly seeks for the intensity and the silence, mixing contemporary styles and classical elements.
Her work is published regularly and her photographs are part of many international collections.
