Frank de Blok

Born in 1959 near Amsterdam, Netherlands, Frank Blok began by studying economics. More interested by creativity and innovation, he quickly got bored and joined his father's company and worked as an aeronautics engineer for two years. After a great experience, he taught himself design and architecture, and had a thriving career until 2001, this is when he decided to leave Holland for France and devote himself to his artistic creations. Since 2014, he lives and works in Honfleur.

Even though his main field is painting today, Frank Blok since his youth has seen some chronology in all this. His artistic creations are a result of a "chaotic mixture", according to him these creations only make sense when one takes evolution and transformation of our planet into account.

A passion for architecture, Frank de Blok's paintings are extremely graphic and instinctive. The geometric patterns and strong lines come together and intersect, creating imaginative or realistic structures.

Frank de Blok exhibits in France in his Honfleur workshop, but several fairs and galleries have welcomed his work.
