Presentation

The ROTGANZEN collective was formed in 2009 and is composed of Robin Stam (1981), Joeri Horstink (1982) and Mark van Wijk (1984).

Based in Rotterdam, their workshop is installed in a kindergarten. With playful and fun themes, ROTGANZEN plays on the ambivalence coming from childhood memories and the reality of the adult world. Tasty lollipops with toxic and destructive ingredients, small toys and soldiers that take the shape of funeral wreaths...

Time and space are the guideline of their work; they produce"pocket editions" but they also defy space through monumental outdoors installations such as "PARTY TENTS" or "BORED".

Famous for their dematerialized disco mirror balls entitled "QUELLE FETE", the Rotganzen reinterpret the symbols of our childhood through the absurdity of the human condition.
