Dmitriy Konradt

Born in 1954 - Russian Federation

Dmitriy Konradt was born in 1954 in St-Petersburg, Russia. A member of the Artists Union of Russia since 1999. After graduation from Leningrad Geological University in 1975, Dmitriy Konradt began working as a professional photographer in the late seventies.

During the following decade his work was mainly linked to the post-Soviet underground pop culture (album artwork design, posters, exhibitions based on alternative music projects). At the same time Dmitriy Konradt immersed himself in experimentation with black and white “hand made” photography.

In the latter part of the eighties, he began working with color, his main focus being the interaction of color and light in the urban environment. Since the late nineties Konradt has been teaching photography at various state and private schools and colleges in St-Petersburg.
