Daria Surovtseva was born in Moscow in 1980. She currently lives and works between Paris and Moscow. She studied at first at the School of Fine Arts of Stroganov, Moscow where she obtained a degree in ceramics and then at the School of Sèvres where she got interested in porcelain.
Daria Surovtseva's sculptures are complex. The artist combines materials such as sewing, plexiglas and porcelain in order to create monumental pieces with an spectacular scenography.
Daria Surovtseva's work has been exhibited in Russia and France, in numerous museums as well as in several private collections. The artist is member of the Union of Artists of Moscow and the Union of Designers of Moscow.
