Born in 1964 - Seychelles
Colbert Nourrice was born in 1964 in Mahé, Seychelles. Where he currently lives and works. He studied at the Polytechnic of Seychelles and in 1989 at the University of Sussex, Brighton, England; Today he teaches at the International School. Colbert Nourrice is the founder and President of Noular (Sesel) Seychellois Artists' promotion agency .
Colbert is interested in signs and symbols that accompany the cycles of existence. It is for him a way to decipher life situations, the relationship between man and nature. He tells simple stories, and this is due to his insular origins. The topic of Seychelles is a dense one and he seeks to explore it and to represent it through the light of his own experiences.
Colbert Nourrice is known in the world of signs, symbols and figures. For him, beyond the technical aspect, the best way to experience things around you is by taming them.
