Emilio Subirá was born in 1980 in Sevilla, Spain.
From the ambiguity of the view and the plastic perfection, Emilio Subira leaves no one indifferent with his works. Based on the oneiric and the subconscious, he presents works full of ambivalence and existential reflections of the absurd. Volumetric canvases that seem to drip forms and sculptures representing full of vivid hues, completed with paint, collage and photography are the protagonists. The mainstreaming of media is a tool that uses finely towards a faint image, surreal, full of critical irony that unfolds before the viewer like a dream.
His work develops around the darker aspects of humanity, represented by grotesque characters, belonging to a sick world that portrays the madness of modern society. His technique mind the great hyper-realistic, but Subira goes a step further and combines technical mastery with a depth that seems to drink from Duchamp, Rauschenberg or Bacon revisited from the aesthetic of underground comics.
