Ana Miralles

Born in 1959, Ana Miralles in a Spanish comics illustrator, she became famous for her subjects of erotic connotations. After she graduated from the School of Fine Arts, she became an illustrator for the publishing houses Gregal, Teide and Bromera. She then work doing comics.

In June 2009, Ana Miralles became the first woman to win the "Gran Premio del Salon" at the Barcelona Comic Festival (the highest distinction). She did her fist publication in 1982 in the comics magazine for adults Rambla. Her first album in black and white, "El Brillo de una Mirada" was written by her companion Emilio Ruiz, and it was published in 1990. This story was then made in colors and released in France under the title "Corps a Corps". Her first comic collection called "The Trilogy Eva Medusa", located in Brazil in the 20s, whose screenplay belongs to Antonio Segura ; the first volume was published in 1991. She then worked again with Ruiz on " In Search of the Unicorn" in 1997 for the Glénat editions (An adaption of the successful novel by Juan Eslava Galan). In 2001, she created Djinn with Jean Dufaux, her most popular collections to this day. Its twelfth volume came out in 2014.
