BIOGRAPHY

After having studied Mathematics at University for three years, Iñigo Navarro, the Catalan artist decided to change gears and joined the Fine Arts Faculty of Université Complutense (1999-2004). His family supported this change, especially his mother, who is a restorer at the Prado Museum (Madrid).

In 2003, he won a scholarship from the Fundación Rodríguez Acosta, and in 2004, a second one to attend classes at El Escorial led by Juan Genovés.

Interested by other areas of art, like direction and photography, he played and directed short films, which were finalists in several national and international festivals and in 2004 he won the "Purification Garcia" photography award, an exhibition which took place in Spain and Portugal.

He participated in several national and international exhibitions among which The Art League Gallery at The Torpydo Factory (Alexandria, U.S.A), 1st International art fair "Al Paso" in Bogota (Colombia); Casa do Brazil (Madrid), Arnau Gallery (Barcelona), Palacio de Saldaña and the Fine Arts Faculty in Madrid.

He was also selected for several painting awards like «Villa de Getafe", "Villa de Rota» drawing and graphic competition of UCM. He was also a finalist at the Realism Biennial at Galería Clave.
