Albert Coma Bau was born in Barcelona in 1970. He studied drawing at Vic and then joined the Fine Arts faculty in Barcelona. A skillful artist, he uses several artistic mediums in his career, such as drawing, painting, photography, theater...
Albert Coma Bau's drawings are refined and pure, they depict bodies of men and women whose black curves bleed into the blank background. The curves and strokes are sensual, elegant, and highlights the fusion between the nude characters and the initially blank paper. The bodies which are more or less defined by the artist, make room for poetry and gentleness. Albert Coma Bau plays with contrasts, namely the background and the features so that the spectator is able to focus on these sensual curves.
