Presentation

Fran Mora was born in Huelva in the South of France in 1979. He studied painting at the Fine arts school in Seville.

He explored beauty through mundane objects. A bowl of fruit reduced to its most simple state and is given a new and a more contemplative look. Mora uses the most insignificant object however extremely useful as it's part of our daily lives but also a symbol of abundance and a source of joy. He also depicts landscapes which he came across during his trips to Morocco and Norway.

In order to attain a nebulous and aesthetically graceful effect, Fran Mora mixes gesso and oil on canvas, he regularly uses paper and cloth. Shimmering colors combined with neon make a lyrical effect on canvas. Light is also a means to distill serenity which contrasts with the bright colors.

Fran Mora's paintings are part of several public and private collections in Spain like La Caixa and the Vazquez Diaz. contemporary art museum.
