Born in 1963 - Sweden
Ralf Arzt is a Swedish artist born October 22, 1963 in Stockholm. Ralf Arzt studied in France at the School of Fine Arts of Nice with professor Cristian Geai.
His art is largely inspired by modern art photo and is a combination of painting and photography. In his paintings, he tries to create a sentiment of modern art photo, combining the best of both worlds, using the ability of photography of capturing the soul and charisma of an ephemerous moment and the poetry painting with a surface and a finish that a picture could never reproduce.
To create the alliance of these two arts, the artist adapts his techniques more to the photographic expression than painted art. He uses a long and technically advanced technique layer by layer, constructing his painting with numerous thin layers without any brush trace. He uses techniques such as Schumring and enamel paint, which gives the impression of art photo but with a painting finish. The layer by layer painting give great depth to the colors, the purpose of this is to create a contemporary and figurative piece .
He stated to work internationally with the Opera Gallery in 2001 and with other galleries in Paris, New York ,London, Singapore and Honk Kong. He is represented as well in Galleries in Monaco, Hamburg, Oslo, Uppsala and Copenhagen, as well as in prestigious auctions all around the world.
