Samir Tlatli

Born in 1975, Samir Tlatli is a Tunisian multidisciplinary artist, who currently lives in Paris.

He studied management and marketing at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales HEC in Carthage before making his first steps in the world of images. He also graduated from the Prague Film School (PFS) and from the Paris Photographic Institute, he currently works in Paris as a professional photographer and director.

The artist is known for his way of bringing out his shots, the materials and the unexpected qualities. His images, which are always poetic, represent a transposition of reality revealing multiple meanings that the observer can interpret freely. His images are often very technical and always poetic, even when he is only portraying a coffee bean.

Besides his personal projects, he is a consultant in visual identity, he works with internationally renowned companies. He makes video reports, commercials, packshots, pictures of corporate portraits and institutional films. He has also directed cultural shows for private television channels, as well as short films genre fiction, including "Dance of Birds" and "World Wide Words" that successively marked their presence at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival edition 2013 and 2014.
