Born in 1984 - United Kingdom
Charlotte Colbert is a photographer and screenwriter based in London. Charlotte has developed a distinct narrative to her work, which can be followed from her large-scale triptychs, to her film-noir series and medium format stills.
Drawing from her experience as a screenwriter, Charlotte Colbert's photographic work is strongly anchored within the language of film and story telling. They are mostly conceived as a series, a sequence developed in script format before being shot. Her work has strong philisophical undertones, and often plays on questions of time, space and identity.
