Malcolm Taylor is an English artist, born in 1961.

For his abstract paintings, Malcolm Taylor draws inspiration from several sources, but mainly from his several travels around United Kingdom. Many of his paintings are a reflection on landscape, he pushes simplification up to abstraction. The artist works with several mediums, such as acrylic, pastel and oil painting. It all depends on what he wants to accomplish.

Malcolm Taylor doesn't begin with a precise image in his mind, he lets his imagination do the work. A perfectionist for sure, he reworks his paintings with the help of several tools like his brushes or fingers. The end result is the most important for him, he wants his creation to be spontaneous with a harmonious composition, he doesn't hesitate to use methods like collage, dripping and scraping.
